Why I shouldn't Install WIndows 10 - Part 2

1. Your System Might Not Run It

Most people won’t have any issues when it comes to their computer being able to run Windows 10, but the reality is that you still need to meet certain system requirements in order to run it well. While the minimum system requirements aren’t exactly taxing, even if your computer meets the requirements, it doesn’t mean you will have an optimal experience. If your machine doesn’t exceed the system requirements by a decent margin and runs well enough on your current OS, it makes a lot more sense to wait until you upgrade your computer before making the switch.

2. It’s Not Totally Free

In typical fashion whenever the word ‘free’ pops up, there are some caveats. While it’s true that Microsoft is giving Windows 7 and 8 users a copy, this is because they have already bought a Windows license and there-in lies the rub. This explanation goes into better detail, but the main takeaway is that Microsoft is giving away Windows 10 to consumers in order to make money in pretty much all other avenues of its business. It’s basically a trojan horse designed to get everyone on the same platform in order to make money off of them in a myriad of other ways. Heck, even Solitaire is asking for our money now. While it’s great to be getting an upgrade without having to shell out the $100 it typically costs for a new OS, don’t believe for a second that Microsoft is giving it away out of the goodness of their hearts; they’re going to make a lot of money off you regardless.

3. No More Windows Media Center

One of the strangest changes that Windows 10 makes is that it basically eliminates Windows Media Center as we know it. While this may not be an issue for some, those who use the program to access their multimedia content will have to find a new way to do so, which is a rather annoying and seemingly unnecessary change to force on consumers. Of course, this isn’t a deal-breaker by any means, as there are numerous alternatives available, but it’s still unfortunate to see a useful program bite the dust for no good reason.

4. Forced Updates

Software updates are a necessary evil if you want to have the newest features, but users are typically able to opt out of updates if they so wish. Not so with Windows 10. Microsoft has enforced mandatory updates that will be installed to your system whether you like it or not. While there is nothing inherently wrong with wanting to make a program as secure and functional as possible, robbing people of choice is sure to ruffle a few feathers. As many iPhone users can attest, there comes a point in time when new firmware updates start to cause more harm to your device than good. Now, Windows 10 could very well break your computer with a new update and there’s nothing you can do or say about it because you were never given the choice in the first place.

5. The Longer You Wait, The Better It Will Be

The best reason to hold off making the switch to Windows 10 is that practically every new major software release has a number of bugs and glitches at launch that can take awhile to be sorted out. If you’re already getting by fine with your current OS, why make yourself essentially a Windows 10 tester when you could just wait a few months for the major issues to be ironed out. You’ll still be able to download it for free and have peace of mind that you’re getting an OS that has proven itself on the market already. Computers already have enough annoyances as it is; there’s no point in adding more to the pile.

Why I shouldn't Install WIndows 10 - Part 1

Botched Updates

While the majority of updates do go successfully, it has been known for some of them to do more harm than good. Past problems vary from the minor to the major: input lag on some games, broken playback on specific video file types and even a full-on blue screen of death. While the problems were acknowledged by Microsoft and resolved, it’s an inconvenience that users shouldn’t have to go through. If Windows 10 will force updates on everyone, can we be sure that they will always be stable?

Reduced Flexibility

Windows 10 will be the last version of Microsoft’s operating system. Whereas in the past the launch of the latest version of Windows was a big event, consumers are now wired to expect their updates to be free, thanks to companies like Apple and Google. As such, the idea is that everyone will just be running Windows as a service. Think of an online site you use, like Facebook, which continues to evolve while still maintaining the same name and lacking version numbers. This is what Microsoft now see Windows as being like.

o an extent, users have flexibility over their flavor of Windows. There are some people who are still sticking with XP, despite official support for it having ended, simply because they prefer it over the subsequent operating systems. There’s people out there who don’t upgrade their operating systems purely because they’ve got used to what they know and it’ll be too much of a hassle to learn their way round a new system. With Windows 10, there won’t be any choice about what features you install or future aesthetic changes you approve. Everyone will have exactly the same thing, whether they like it or not.
Of course, it’s too early to say how big feature updates will be handled. Let’s say that Microsoft one day decides to overhaul the visual design of Windows 10–will we be able to stick with the ‘classic’ theme or will there be no choice in that either? And how can we know that Microsoft won’t force software on us that we don’t want, especially when Candy Crush Saga is being pre-installed on all systems. Flexibility is king and it’s being lost under this new updating method.

Whatsapp Calling Rumors or Truth ...?

WhatsApp Rumors: Video Calling Update Coming Soon

According to BGR , Whatsapp iOS version 2.12.16.2 may include video calling. BGR cited a German source who provided key data and photos. The German blog used leaked screenshots to prove its point that WhatsApp has video calling in development. The new update is rumored to be in the testing phase. If the developers finalize the details of the design, consumers will see it in the next update in 2016. WhatsApp has not confirmed any addition of video calling so far. Currently WhatsApp allows users to video call with an internet connection only. The update will enable video calling online and offline.
Adding video to WhatsApp will position the app to compete with video app services likeSkype and Apple ’s FaceTime . While Skype does have text chat enabled on the app, the company is known for its video calling. WhatsApp was started as a text and conference messaging app back in 2009. Facebook acquired the company for a reported $19 billionin 2014.
The Whatsapp update follows a virus that infected the app in Apple’s app store. Whatsapp was among iOS apps infected with the The XcodeGhost virus.  virus is infecting almost 50 apps including WeChat , NetEase Cloud Music, WinZip , Didi Chuxing, Railway 12306 , China Unicom Mobile Office, and Tonghuashun. According toMacrumors.com , devices infected with XcodeGhost malware can have information copied, encrypted and uploaded data to command and control (C2) servers run by hackers through the HTTP protocol.
In a statement released to Reuters news service, Apple responded to public concern about the XcodeGhost virus. "We’ve removed the apps from the App Store that we know have been created with this counterfeit software. We are working with the developers to make sure they’re using the proper version of Xcode to rebuild their apps."
Apple also created a XcodeGhost question and answer page for concerned consumers. On the page Apple said “As soon as we recognized these apps were using potentially malicious code we took them down. Developers are quickly updating their apps for users.” The company also said. “Customers will be receiving more information letting them know if they’ve downloaded an app that could have been compromised. Once a developer updates their app, that will fix the issue on the user’s device once they apply that update.”
After taking over by facebook, updates for whats app having some new features.update. Hope they add this feature without getting trouble us. Some other app having same features but not faster than like whats app.

10 New Features in Windows 10

1. There's loads of stuff for touch, but it's different stuff

Designed to appeal to experts and novices alike, Microsoft was at pains to point out that it hasn't given up on touch with the new OS. The Charms bar remains for the moment although we expect it to die if you're using a non-touch PC (check out Continum below).

Microsoft says it wants to support touch users who have persevered with Windows 8 and "evolve" the touch UI. (Translated: That means it is changing quite a bit.) The task switching will no longer work on the left. So with that and the charms going, that's goodbye to most of the problem with Windows 8 - and a whole philosophy down the pan.

Microsoft's Joe Belfiore said at the preview: "We want Windows 7 users to feel like they upgraded from a [Toyota] Prius to a Tesla, but they don't need to learn a new way to drive."

Windows 10

2. It's BACK!

As we've covered before, the e most noticeable change is the new Start Menu, which looks somewhat like the old start menu. It brings some features from the Windows 8.1 Start Screen, such as live tiles, and can be resized.

Windows 10

3. Another new Task View (the Windows 8 flippy thing has gone)

Now the Windows 8 task switcher has been unceremoniously dumped, there's a new Task View in Windows 10, too, so users can switch between virtual desktops. That's because Microsoft now recognises that novice users use the taskbar rather than switching in other, cleverer, ways such as Alt+Tab (which also now switches between desktops).

Windows 10

4. Snap Assist helps you snap windows

A new Snap Assist feature also helps users work out which way is best to snap apps to. You can snap windows into new screens and tile Windows - just as you've been able to since Windows 2.0 or maybe 3.0.

5. The Command Prompt enters the 21st Century

Another quite amazing feature for those of us that use it is that the command prompt is now getting keyboard shortcuts! So you will be able to paste in your commands! Hardly groundbreaking, but actually pretty exciting.

Windows 10

6. Improvements to Windows Explorer

A new Home location is the new default view in Windows Explorer. There's also a Share button on the Windows Explorer taskbar (we really hope this is in the context menu, too).

7. Continum - the special one

This is the best new thing we found out today. Continum is an on-the-fly mode for 2 in 1 devices that can automatically change mode if it detects there is suddenly no keyboard attached. So, for example, a back button appears to help you navigate the Desktop with touch if the keyboard is removed. We reckon the charms will also disappear in non-touch mode, although we've heard conflicting news about that.

A virtual desktop in Windows 10

8. Windows 10 Universal apps

Windows 10 will also usher in a new app model - Universal Windows apps. Windows Universal apps are the new name for Metro apps/Modern apps/Windows Store apps. Take your pick on those old monikers, they've got a new one! Presumably (although we don't know as yet) that these will also work on Windows Phone. Windows 10 will be able to run on all devices from phones to servers and there will be a single app store across the lot.

All older Windows Store apps will work with Windows 10.

Windows 10

9. Modern (sorry, Universal) apps now float on the Desktop

The new Universal apps also work on the desktop and 'float' in their own Windows. Microsoft wants to banish the separation between the Modern UI and the Desktop.

These 'modern' apps on the desktop have a ... icon for more options - replacing the commands that used to be in the charms on the right-hand side of the screen.

A floater!

10. Windows 10 has lots for Business and Enterprise

Microsoft says it hopes to appeal to business with this release of Windows, more so than Windows 8 ever did. Belfiore said they were "starting the dialogue with businesses today".

To be honest, it needs to - Windows XP is now ancient and unsupported, while precious other businesses want to make the leap away from Windows 7. But part of the reason why Microsoft is demonstrating the OS without all the consumer features is to show enterprises what the OS is capable of at this stage.

This version of Windows will have plenty of other features for enterprise, including a customised store and protection for corporate data. Mobile Device Management will be able to be used for all devices.

Windows 10 will keep personal and corporate data separate.
